Elder Hills Is Home & Blessing Day

My dear readers, I'm sorry that I have been gone. I've started going back to school and it's been killing me. Working-student-wife- mom is a big pill to swallow, but that's not what this post is about... Maybe the next one. ;)

My brother, David, returned from a two year mission in Tempe, Arizona on Tuesday. There he spread the Gospel and served people. He's not the same man we sent out. We were all dressed up at the airport waiting for him. We even made a banner!

Our lovely Banner. Credit goes to Jenna S.
The 5 Hills are back together!
Of course it turned out we were standing at the wrong entrance, on a whim mom went over to the baggage claim and there he was! In his favorite grey suit with his name tag on. I plopped Kelli in his arms and he gave me a look of "uuummmm...what do I do?" He's slowly adjusting to having free time and an ability to choose what to do, you're days are very scheduled when you're serving a mission.

Meeting Uncle David

Then today Kelli got blessed. We had been putting this off til David got home, I wasn't going to have it done without him. As members of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints babies are blessed. Men who hold the Priesthood gather in a circle and one person (Troy in the case) speaks.

“Every member of the church of Christ having children is to bring them unto the elders before the church, who are to lay their hands upon them in the name of Jesus Christ, and bless them in his name” (D&C 20:70)"

She was excited too!

I was nervous how this was going to go. I didn't want Kelli screaming in to the mic or have Troy say something dumb! Before hand, Troy had asked me if I wanted to do it (which I can't) I said "no, but I'll go up with you and whisper in your ear." (You're not supposed to do that either.)  But they both did fantastic!

Some wonderful friends where able to stand in the circle as well as my brother and father.

To say the least, it's been a crazy, emotional, wonderful week.
